Serena has realized during self quarantine that her hobbies are that of an old woman. Puzzles, coloring, sewing and baking. Every day a new project or baked good is made. This evening, soft baked pretzels for the win. INGREDIENTS: 4 tsp active dry yeast 1 tsp white sugar 1 1/4 cups warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C) 3.5 cups all-purpose flour 1/2 cup white sugar 1 1/2 tsp of salt 1 tbs olive oil 1/2 cup baking soda 4 cups hot water Coarse sea salt for topping Cold salted butter stick for topping

Here we are. Under self quarantine for the first time ever in our lives. It is such a surreal thing. Parents are being forced to become teachers and I know we are all trying to do the best we can. We figured we would start to post our progects to help you get through the day. Stay sane moms + dads, together we can get through this (along with our coffee, wine, books, exercise or whatever your vice maybe). And without further adieu, our first DIY! DIY RainsticksThis was a lot easier than I thought it was going to be. Just a PSA, this one does require some help from parents (nails + hammer are involved). First, find a tube of some sort (paper towel tube, wrapping paper tube) and nails.
Leave your comments below and send us a photo of your rainstick so we can share it with our followers and podcast listeners.
